First Aid at Work

All employers  have a legal obligation in relation to Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1981 and ACOP L74 to ensure that you have adequate first aid provision should an employee become ill or sustain an injury. Therefore a risk assessment must be carried out that covers your companies needs .

All courses are certificated and trainees receive their own  training manual. We can deliver all courses on your premises at no extra cost

To assist companies to comply with these regulations we can  offer the following fully accredited and certified First Aid courses;

3 day  Level 3 First Aid at work Training Course (QCF)

2 day Level 3 First Aid at Work Refresher Training Course (QCF)

 

 

 

 

 Level 3 First Aid at Work ( QCF)

This is a 3 day  ( 18hrs) approved First Aid at Work course,which complies with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981

The Course syllabus includes;

  • Role and responsibilities of the First Aider
  • CPR Training
  • Assessing an Incident
  • Sprains, strains & fractures
  • Managing an unconscious casualty
  • Managing wounds and bleeding
  • Choking & anaphylactic shock
  • Minor injury
  • Major illnesses
  • Other first aid for a range of conditions

 

Assessment & Award

Assessment is by external assessors. Upon successful completion of the course  a 3 year externally accredited  certificate is issued.
The HSE recommends that all first aiders attend an annual 3hr refresher course to ensure they are up to date with procedures and their skills

First Aid at Work certificates are valid for three years and we  will send an automatic reminder to  the customer a three months prior to the expiry date of the certificate.

Certificates can be renewed by attending a  2 day requalifying First Aid at work course
