Course Overview:
This half day medication awareness course will provide anyone working in a health care setting with the knowledge and skills needed to assist clients with medication.

Course Outline:
The qualification covers the following topics:

  • Different forms of medication
  • Methods of entry into the body
  • Different dispensing methods
  • Procedures for supervision of medication and records
  • Awareness when collecting prescriptions on behalf of others
  • Disposal of expired or no longer required medication

At the end of training the learner will be able to:

Moving and Handling People Safely

Course Description:

Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are the most common cause of occupational ill health in Great Britain. MSDs affect the muscles, joints, tendons and other parts of the musculoskeletal system.
By educating staff in the principles of safe moving and handling,  training can contribute to excellence in care as well as reducing injury

Level 1 & 2 Fire Safety

The course has been designed to ensure it provides employees with the necessary information, knowledge and training for them to be competent in basic fire safety.
The law requires all employees to have adequate fire safety training.

: Fire risk assessment – reducing the risk
: Basic fire prevention / Chemistry of fire / Classes of fire
